About

Treatments

Teeth whitening

If your teeth have become discoloured, tooth whitening may be a viable option. There are three types of whitening available:

  • Over-the-counter solutions to be used at home
  • Custom-made kits put together by our dentists, to be used at home
  • In-chair treatments that must be administered by a dentist

The main difference between the treatments if their concentration and efficacy. The at-home treatments are weaker products that must be applied several times over a number of days. The in-chair treatment is more concentrated and only applied once.

Dental veneers

The two types of veneers – porcelain and composite – are enamel shells that fit around stained or chipped teeth. Porcelain veneers are stain resistant, durable and easy to maintain; they’re a very good option for stained, crooked or chipped teeth. Composite veneers are less expensive and involve a faster treatment.

Invisible braces

Invisible braces are an exciting, new technology. These plastic, clear, 3D-printed aligners are designed to be worn 24 hours a day to correct the position of your teeth. They are far more discreet than the traditional, bulky metal options.

More Treatments

White fillings

An alternative to amalgam (metal) fillings, white (or composite) fillings give a far more natural look and are therefore more cosmetically appealing. Several other advantages include reduced sensitivity to cold and hot temperatures and the ability to restore the original strength of the tooth.

Crowns & dental bridges

Crowns are custom-designed helmets for a tooth that restore the integrity of compromised teeth. Dental bridges fill in gaps left by missing teeth, whereby they are fixed to the remaining teeth on either side of the gap. For patients with damaged or missing teeth, both of these treatments provide aesthetically pleasing solutions.

Dentures

Dentures are used to increase the functionality of molars, and to replace one, two or all of your teeth. They can feel odd at first, but most don’t even notice them once they grow accustomed to them.
