Dr Mistry believes effective dental care stems from the partnership of informed patients, knowledgeable practitioners, and a complement of skilful trained staff. As a result, she enjoys bringing awareness and reassurance to children and parents, working together towards the best possible outcomes.

Dr Mistry’s commitment to training and mentoring the next generation of dentists in paediatric dentistry has led to teaching engagements with the University of Queensland and James Cook University, and involvement with the Australian Dental Association and Queensland Health’s continuing dental education programs.
Dr Mistry is a passionate advocate for the advancement of paediatric dentistry. She has done extensive research in deep carious lesions in primary molars and trauma to immature non-vital teeth, with grants from the Australian Dental Research Foundation Inc. and the Dental Board of Queensland. She has published internationally and is a regular presence at conferences and seminars.
